Vein Pattern Recognition
Vein Pattern Recognition utilizes near-infrared light to help capture vein pattern data present in the palm of a person’s hand. The system then uses the data to generate a numeric, biometric “key,” which is unique to every individual and is used to enroll a person in a biometric system. Any attempt to use a biometrically enabled system generates a new key that is matched against the person’s enrolled key.
